Dear Harlan,
I can't stop obsessing over an ex. I know it was an unhealthy relationship and it's best that it has ended. Yet I have these feelings of anger and wanting revenge. I don't know why I want to get even. I know it's a terrible way to live, for the both of us. I know this is some sort of condition or tic. I know it can be fixed, but I don't know how.

Help Me
Dear Help Me,
When it comes to revenge, the best revenge is to be happier without him than you ever were with him. Instead of focusing on what you can do to hurt him, focus on what you can do to make yourself happy. That'll show him. Turn this around and be grateful that you experienced a relationship that enabled you to learn so much about yourself and someone else. The good news: He's no longer in your life, and now, you have the rest of your life to find something better than you ever imagined.
